The Finch Hatton Showgrounds, also known as the Pioneer Valley Showgrounds, are owned and managed by the Pioneer Valley Agricultural Show Society, which has run the one-day Pioneer Valley Show there since 1964. The tree-studded grounds sit beside Cattle Creek in the Pioneer Valley west of Mackay and include a hall, a large outdoor ring and a bar area for hire. Powered and unpowered camping with toilets, showers and laundry is available outside show week, with stays generally limited to 48 hours.

The grounds host the Goondiwindi Show, campdrafts, cutting and polocrosse, and operate a caravan and camping ground with bookable overnight stabling.

Great Western Racing & Recreation Reserve

Great Western Racing and Recreation Reserve is a 170 acre (70 ha) reserve at Great Western in the Grampians region of western Victoria, home to the Great Western Racecourse and the Seppelt Great Western Cup. The reserve also hosts the annual Good Friday rodeo. Camping is available on the reserve during major events, with unpowered sites and powered sites for a fee.

The club, formed in 1958, was the first pony club in Queensland and belongs to Pony Club Queensland Zone 6. Harold Brown Park (Samford Golden Valley Pony Club)

Harold Brown Park on Richards Road, Wights Mountain, is the home ground of the Samford Golden Valley Pony Club, about 10 minutes from Samford Village. The grounds have five separately fenced grassed areas (two lit), a cross country course (45 cm to 105 cm), and covered stables with lights and wash bays. There are also round yards, a clubhouse with canteen, toilets and showers. The club runs eventing, dressage, showjumping, gymkhanas and mounted games, and the grounds can be hired for horse events.
