For riding schools & equestrian centres

Riding school management software, built around the horses

Online lesson booking and payments, instructor rosters, school horses and arena hire for Australian riding schools and equestrian centres, in one place. Spend less time on admin and more time teaching.

No setup fee.

Simple pricing on every booking

One rate. Card processing included.

One rate covers everything on your lesson and booking fees — Stripe's card processing is included, not billed separately. You choose whether that comes out of your entry fees or is shown to riders as a platform fee at online checkout — Horsify's rate is the same either way.

2.5% + 30c

Your all-in cost per transaction, card processing included. No setup cost, and nothing extra per booking. Domestic cards; international cards cost more to process. Unlike platforms that charge the club a commission on top of card processing, Horsify's rate is the total.

Or bring your own

On the Riding School and Club Site Premium plans, connect your own Stripe account and pay Horsify nothing per transaction. Horsify takes nothing from a bank transfer or a cash payment on any plan.

Fast AU payouts

Money settles straight to an Australian bank account via Stripe — no waiting for a lump-sum payout later.

Your diary is not the hard part

Any calendar can hold a lesson. These are the two things a riding school actually runs on.

The horses, and how hard they are working

Every school horse carries who can ride it — level, rider age, and a weight limit in kilograms — and a cap on hours per day and per week. Bookings are checked against the hours, so a pony capped at eight hours a week doesn't quietly end up doing twelve, and staff booking a rider over a horse's weight limit are warned. Farrier, worming, dental and vet dates sit on the same card and go amber before they fall due.

The School Horses screen: cards for Luna, Duke and Bella showing age and temperament, hours ridden this week against a weekly cap, farrier, worming, dental and vet due dates, and each horse's suitable rider level, age range and maximum rider weight.

What each rider is working towards

Levels, and the skills inside each one, sorted into safety and horse care, riding and flatwork, stable management and theory. Tick them off as riders get them, so a parent asking "how is she going?" gets an answer, and the instructor covering a lesson knows where to start. Edit the whole thing to match how you already teach.

The Skills curriculum screen: a Learn to Ride programme with level 1 Lead Rein and level 2 Off the Lead, each listing assessable skills such as approaching a horse calmly, holding the reins correctly and rising trot on the lead rein, tagged by category.

And the rest of the school

Online lesson booking and payments

Riders book group and private lessons, clinics and term programs from your school's booking page, or a booking button on your own website, and pay by card. They book with a free Horsify account and get an email reminder before the lesson (on by default; you choose when).

Lesson packages

Sell packs of lessons with an expiry date and a running count of what is left. Moving from another system? Carry a client's remaining lessons over with the original purchase date.

Instructors and staff rosters

Each instructor's hours, lessons and rates, so riders only see times a coach can teach. Instructors can text in their availability, staff submit timesheets, and the roster exports a payroll CSV you can map into Xero, MYOB or KeyPay.

Arena and facility hire

Hire arenas by the hour, half day or full day at the rates you set, with members-only arenas and member prices if you want them. When you take payments online, take a deposit and Horsify charges the balance to the saved card on the due date you set.

Clients, waivers and progress

Client records with guardians, emergency contacts and medical conditions. Waivers signed online, and each rider's skills ticked off level by level.

Waitlists for full group lessons

When a group lesson is full, riders can ask to hear when a place opens. They are told by email and app notification, and the first to book takes it.

Clinics and in-house events

Run clinics and in-house competitions with online entries on the same plan, alongside your lessons.

Riding school software or a general booking app?

A general booking app sells a time slot. A riding school has to sell the slot, the horse and the instructor at once, and keep the horse inside its limits.

  • It books the horse, not just the time. Each booking is checked against the horse's daily and weekly hours, and staff see its rider level, age range and weight limit, with a warning when they book a rider over it.
  • It knows your instructors. Each instructor's own hours, lessons and rates decide which times riders see, and the staff roster sits in the same system.
  • It keeps the school's records. Packages, term programs, waivers and each rider's skills by level, beside the bookings rather than in a spreadsheet.
  • Australian company, Australian hosting. Plans are priced in AUD, with one all-in rate on online payments or your own Stripe account.

Questions riding schools ask

What is Horsify for riding schools?

Horsify is riding school and equestrian centre management software from Horsify Pty Ltd (Australian company, Australian hosting). It runs lesson bookings and payments, instructor rosters, school horses, arena and facility hire and client records in one place.

How do riders book lessons online?

From your school's booking page on Horsify, or from a booking button on your own website that opens it. Riders choose a lesson and a time, sign in or create a free Horsify account, and pay online by card.

How is Horsify different from a general booking app?

A general booking app books a time slot. Horsify books the lesson against the school horse as well: bookings are checked against each horse's cap on hours per day and per week, and each horse carries a rider level, an age range and a maximum rider weight, with staff warned when they book a rider over it. It also tracks each rider's skills level by level, so an instructor covering a lesson knows where to start.

Does it handle lesson packages?

Yes. Sell multi-lesson packages with an expiry date and a running count of lessons left. If you are moving from another system, a client's remaining lessons can be carried over with the original purchase date, so the expiry still runs from when they bought it.

Can we hire out our arena and take a deposit?

Yes. Each facility can be hired by the hour, the half day or the full day, at the rates you set. When you take payments online, you can take a deposit, as a percentage or a fixed amount, and Horsify collects the balance from the saved card on the due date you set.

What happens when a lesson is full or someone cancels?

For a full group lesson, riders can join a waitlist. When a place frees up they are told by email and app notification, and the first to book takes it.

What does it cost?

The Riding School plan is $39 a month inc GST, with a 60-day free trial and no credit card needed. Online payments are 2.5% + 30c all-in, card processing included, or connect your own Stripe account and pay Horsify nothing per transaction. A multi-page club website is a separate plan.
